Packaging

How do I need to pack my work?  Please ensure that the packaging is secure in bubble wrap and rigid cardboard that can be reused for the return freight. We will pack with care for the return freight.  Some artists choose to invest in  reusable boxes for freighting art, see   www.framesbydaniel.co.nz   these are very secure.
Also please put your name and address on the outside of the package so that we are able to identify it.

Selection of work

How do I find out if my work has been selected for the exhibition?
Selected works will be posted on this site, after the official opening.
How many works are selected to form the exhibition?
Approximately 80 out of 320 entrants are selected to form the exhibition.  This reduced number is to ensure a high exhibition standard and enable each work adequate wall space.
How will I know if my work is not selected?
By checking to see if your name appears on the exhibition list posted on this site. See "Winners" 2012 tab above

Winners

How do I find out whether I won?
You will be contacted to attend the awards prize giving  and you will find out only during the ceremony if you are merit winner or the  major award winner.
When is the winner of the award announced?
At the Official Opening and Prize giving
If I am a winner and I am not able to come to Whakatane does that mean that I don't get my award?
We like all recipients of awards to attend the opening night. As stated on the entry form, the major winner MUST attend the opening night to receive the major award. However, if you are a merit winner and not able to attend, your certificate along with cheque can be posted to you.
